Founder Profile & CEO Message

Scientific ambition informed by real healthcare challenges

At GC Biotech, we are living in an era where the pace of scientific innovation has outpaced its equitable application. The real challenge of our time is not simply whether biotechnology can deliver groundbreaking discoveries, but whether those discoveries can reach broader populations and improve healthcare in practical, sustainable ways. Our mission is to connect cutting-edge scientific progress with healthcare solutions that are accessible, responsible, and scalable.

Founded on the values of scientific excellence and translational impact, GC Biotech was built with the ambition to address urgent healthcare challenges globally. Guided by advanced research training in Japan, our work is grounded in the belief that scientific progress should not only produce medical breakthroughs, but also contribute to fairness, access, and long-term societal benefit.

GC Biotech is being developed around the leadership and long-term vision of Dr. Santosh Kumar Gothwal, PhD, whose scientific direction centers on biotechnology, diagnostics, translational relevance, and accessible healthcare innovation. His background and long-term perspective reinforce the company’s attention to healthcare access, scientific rigor, and meaningful translational outcomes.

Our focus includes next-generation cancer therapies, biomarker-driven diagnostics, and precision tools that can address resistance linked to person-specific mutations. We are also committed to strengthening early detection, reducing cancer predisposition through timely screening, and advancing prenatal and postnatal genetic analysis within real healthcare systems.

As an initial step, we aim to collaborate with specialized service providers in drug sensitivity testing and translational research, while building toward broader long-term capabilities in diagnostics, contract research, biomarker services, and drug-screening activities. This founder-led model gives GC Biotech a clear identity: research-driven, mission-oriented, and focused on building credible pathways between science, diagnostics, partnerships, and healthcare implementation.

In a world shaped by precision medicine, we believe these advances must not remain the privilege of only a few. Healthcare justice is a universal principle. True innovation should serve not only science itself, but also the people and communities who need its benefits most. Our mission is to save lives, protect future generations, and support more inclusive healthcare innovation worldwide.
